Job Description
#### Position Description:


This position is part of the Global eCommerce User Experience (UX) Team. We
are currently seeking a Senior User Experience Project Lead experienced in
delivering an outstanding eCommerce experience to consumers. This person will
have two primary roles:
• Senior Project Lead, who will be responsible for driving UX projects to
improve the online customer experience for Lenovo.com globally. The project
manager will manage the identification, conception, definition, design,
testing and implementation of UX projects with the goal of improving the
customer experience, online engagement and purchase conversion.
• Senior Manager, UX - Lead the UX team in a senior role as mentor, sharing
knowledge/guidance and helping UX Director in leadership activities

Job responsibilities:

Project Management:
• Identify and define user experience improvements leveraging input from
customer feedback, onsite analytics, geography/business stakeholders and
executives
• Create a prioritized roadmap of user experience projects based on business
value and contribution to customer satisfaction metrics
• Manage project lifecycle, deliverables and cross-functional business
management system (BMS) including:
• Project definition:
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, research best practices,
and perform competitive analysis to define the project scope
• Assign roles & responsibilities and create a timeline and schedule for all
activities tied to the project
• Project design/implementation:
• Work closely with designers to create and iterate on designs
• Work with UX researchers to develop usability tests
• Collaborate with stakeholders to get feedback and approval
• Manage the IT requirements development and approval process to get projects
in the development queue
• Work with extended teams to perform quality assurance testing and push
projects live
• Optimization: collaborate with the global optimization team to determine
priorities, track roadmap and implement A/B testing for UX projects
• Ongoing communication/BMS: Drive regular interlocks with cross-functional
geography, business unit team members and executives to communicate progress
on UX priorities and share best practices

Management Responsibilities
• Prioritize employee workload and break down barriers preventing employees
from completing projects on-time
• Manage the process for writing job descriptions, reviewing resumes,
interviewing, selection and onboarding for any positions that are vacated or
any incremental positions
• Facilitate converting team members to full-time employees as budget or
circumstance permits
• Support employee development through regular one-one-ones and bi-annual
Individual Development Plan reviews
• Manage the organizational and human resources planning for the UX project
team
• Facilitate and suggest internal and external training opportunities for team
members to further develop their skillsets
• Submit team members for quarterly or ad hoc awards to recognize exceptional
results
• Assist team members in identifying career growth and mentorship
opportunities
• Plan quarterly team building exercises to continue to strengthen team
collaboration and trust
• Continue to foster an atmosphere of innovation, risk taking and empowerment
on the user experience team

#### Position Requirements:


• Ecommerce/UX experience
o Required: 10+ years of previous eCommerce experience. Prefer experience
working on large eCommerce websites
o Required: 5+ years people management experience
o Thorough understanding of web development process to understand complexities
and timelines
o Ability to write technical requirements that satisfy business needs but
contain a deep and thorough technical understanding of the product
o Experience leading a cross-functional team across development, design,
research and analytics
o Very experienced in presenting to executives and groups
o Experience persuading stakeholders with metrics and research
o Comfortable with multi-national teamwork, participating in calls in many
timezones (often at night)
o Understanding of effective web design, e-commerce and key UX principles
o Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment where innovation
is expected
• Communication
o Excellent communication skills are crucial since this position will work
with multiple cross-functional teams
o Comfortable with communicating/advocating for projects with executives
o Possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and
energetic team environment
o Ability to drive adherence to deadlines with many different teams
• Education
o Bachelor’s degree. Master’s Degree a plus.
