Objective of job:
SPM (Service Parts Management) solution is a solution sets based on SAP. It is to maintain and further develop the new release to support and enable the spare parts business for Daimler China market.
This role will focus on SPM ABAP customizing solution area as solution architect, including new release and existing ABAP program bug fix.
It covers:
- Design and review ABAP design solution architect for new release demands
- Steer and control sizing of the development from supplier
- Monitor and manage the development cycle to ensure quality and measure delivery
- Steer ABAP customizing program operation activities of supplier
- Define and continue improving process and delivery management on ABAP regarding quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with SPM functional working packages for ABAP solution in both new release and operations
In addition, lead test automation area for SPM product across all working packages.
Field of work details:
1. Steer ABAP programming delivery for SPM@DPTS new release
- Steer and manage suppliers’ delivery quality for SPM ABAP customizing programming
- Evaluate and judge sizing of ABAP delivery provided by supplier
- Review the ABAP technical solution design in order to manage the quality from supplier
- Code review for required cases especially for complex ones
- Review and push for ABAP programming standards including documentations
- Manage and monitor the progress and ensure the realization according to deadlines
- Particpate release delivery with work package status meetings and deliver progress reports
- Participate in quality control meeting (Change Approval Board) to manage quality gate for ABAP program
- Drive CAB process
- Ensure required knowledge transfer/handover between suppliers
- Co-work with working package team members to achieve collaborarive release objective
2. Lead ABAP bug fix in existing SPM product
- Take driver seat to steer critical issue resolving in ABAP area for SPM operations
- Take part in solution and coding deep dive when necessary
- Evaluate and review the general issue fixing solution and performance with suppliers
- Monitor issue fixing progress and step in to drive critical milestone
- Review and push for documentation improvement
3. Manage ABAP delivery process and supplier management
- Contribute on ABAP supplier strategy
- Regularly steer suppliers for improvement in a structured way
- Drive ABAP delivery regular measurement and ABAP support quality measurement
- Identify improvement area for ABAP field and push for improvement
4. Drive SPM test automation area with supplier
- Review scope and delivery in regular basis for SPM test automation
- Define collaboratively test automation approach and engage product BU & IT to best co-work on it and best utilize it into daily work
5. Team and department work
- Co-work with team members/IT departments’ peers to achieve operation and release/project objectives where needed
- Ensuring that the necessary training appropriate to the needs of individual employees
- Coordinate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Effectively communicate and contribute in teamwork constructively and positively
- Support department initiatives and tasks
6. Compliance and audit
- Ensure to actively follow the compliance regulations and audit requirements
