As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for completing the technical standard training program of the Business Area, executing all standard jobs without supervision, accumulating experiences as per business area requirement, in Process Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will drive customer satisfaction by competent and timely execution on a high quality of service jobs on site and in the workshop.

Your responsibilities

• Preparing the tools, equipment and parts needed for a service job and understanding the scope of the job to be performed
• Executing a risk assessment on site, briefing with crew member on ongoing other activities and instruction for board equipment
• Working according to working instructions and adhering to regulatory and company Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policy
• Performing services according to the scope defined within the work order
• Collecting information about other turbochargers installed on site, informing service coordinator
• Completing data collection
• Maintaining a clean and proper working environment
• Supporting service availability targets (24/7 service availability)

Your background

• 3 years of working experience in marine or machinery
• Must have experience working in difficult environment (temperature, noise, dirt)
• Coping with a big variety of different turbocharger generations and types
• Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) even under time pressures
• A High school or above
• Fluency in English speaking, good communication skill, self -motivated, must be willing to travel frequently and work after hours
• Acceptance of field working environment and travel requirements
