Responsibilities

  • Directs the coordination of technical and administrative support activities including installation, repair, preventive maintenance and engineering change upgrades to be performed at client sites with support of team leaders for North and South territory.
  • Ensures adequate records and systems are maintained.
  • Schedules personnel responding to critical situations.
  • Maintains communication with design management and specialists in resolving technical problems and/or bringing problems to the design department’s attention.
  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Work closely with sales and different staekholders to support China business growth.
  • Build relationship with key customers and improve customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.
  • Develop service business with a technical and commercial mindset
  • Develop skills and know how in the service team

Qualifications

  • A tertiary level qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, physics or a related discipline or be able to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge and skill gained by practical experience
  • Minimum 6 years’ work experience managing a service team active for analytical instruments, scientific instruments, electromechanical and/or electronic equipment.
  • Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation. Experience in NMR/EPR or related instrument advantageous
  • Strong leadership skills and communication skills with different disciplines
  • Strong verbal, written, MS Office, computer, technical data, and networking communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines within an entrepreneurial and customer-focused work environment.
