Service Project Manager The Service Project Manager owns the entire Service Project delivery relationship with Eaton’s Service clients through high level, highly proactive engagement and will be constantly alert to opportunities to develop, improve and maintain relationships. They will also be responsible for delivering assigned Projects to Eaton clients within the parameters of Cost, Quality and Time and in accordance with the Eaton Business System and Code of Ethics. Essential Functions: Managing to completion the Services order backlog from internal handover through to final completion & cash collection, ensuring all financial commitments are met. Run the weekly forecast order backlog calls, covering management of the orders, and financial impact to any monthly/quarterly changes. Working closely with the Service Sales team to understand and deliver Service Projects to meet the contract quality, timeline and margin expectations. Developing sound business relationships with clients based on high quality customer service, integrity, and Eaton values. Early identification, assessment, logging, and escalation of risk (commercial, scope & schedule) and management of that risk through the Project delivery cycle. Utilising all Eaton and supplier resources assigned to their Project to best effect in achieving on time and to cost completion. Ability to manage projects within Eaton’s contracted scope of works, generating change/variation orders and improving service & project margins. Familiarity with the Eaton product range and the ability to leverage this knowledge with the client. Continually searching for ways to improve the way we do business, to upgrade existing processes, deploy new initiatives, and recommend new solutions based on analysis and client trends. Qualifications Experience Required Electrical engineering knowledge or equivalent experience in electrical engineering Practical knowledge of as many of the following as possible: UPS systems, Static Battery Systems, MV switchgear, LV switchgear Project Management skills and/or experience, ideally with formal certification e.g., PMP, CAPM or Prince 2, or be willing to gain such qualifications Good communication, negotiation and organisational skills Good skills in using Microsoft Office suite Knowledge of current Construction, Design and Management (CDM) regulations Have or be willing to obtain a Site Safety Management qualification (SMSTS or SSSTS) Good leadership skills Possession of a relevant CSCS card or willingness to gain one Possess and maintain a valid driving license Legally authorised to work in the UK and Ireland What Eaton offers?
