Responsibilities

The Azure Monitor Alerting DevOps team provides leadership, direction and accountability for managing the production live site of Azure Monitoring services. Strong collaboration skills will be required to work closely with the engineering teams to ensure services/systems are highly stable and performant and meet the expectations of the customers. The team is responsible for mitigating production incidents and customer escalations, Drive postmortems and learnings, Track and present live site KPI reports.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with managing production services (Life cycle, incident management)
• Self-learner, independent, responsible, and accountable.
• Passion for new technologies and ability to have deep understanding of complex systems.
• Customer focus and passion
• Support a 24x7 live site support model for the production services owned by the team
• Strong analytical and problem solving and organizational skills
  Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
• Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Leadership skills: Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skills.
  Feedback/Metrics collection techniques to expose live site/service issues

Preferred Experiences with Technologies:

• Experience with managing cloud resources (IaaS/PaaS, in Azure or any other cloud technology)
• Data mining experience, utilizing Big data and\or relational data bases technologies
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, python, etc.)
• Mastering CI\CD concepts and hands on implementations experiences, specifically GIT
• VSTS (Microsoft visual studio team system)
