Job Description
Siemens Digital Industries, Customer Services Division, Motion Control segment is currently looking for a service sales specialist engineer candidate to provide sales, digital consultancy, and engineering at customer sites to support the Services Portfolio for Motion Control Systems (Machine Tool and Drives aftersales services including Digital solutions). This is an individual contributor customer facing role responsible for the sales of the retrofit and upgrade portfolios. Key Responsibilities: · Definition and execution of the sales strategy of the Customer Services Portfolio for Motion Control Systems (Machine Tool and Drives aftersales services including Digital solutions) · Responsible for services sales for Motion Control Systems including: retrofit/upgrade evaluation, design, software/PLC development, factory acceptance testing, oversight of site removal and installation activities, commissioning, and customer training · Responsible for successful sales plan pipeline of Services Portfolio Opportunities for Motion Control Systems. · Maintain installed base, supports, and drives Sales Service Partners (proactively / reactively) by identifying and developing customer opportunities. Defines the service part of the customer strategy. Visits customers to support, consult and drive deals to closure. · Coordinates technical development of offers, fully understands, and negotiates them with customer. Validates pricing and examines ability to deliver. · Accompanies projects during their execution phase to generate follow-up sales. Maintains for his line of duty a service related proposal pipe-line (e.g. within Siesales). · Focus on defined portfolio baskets of CS/ selling service value through direct/indirect channels · Gaining market share across the CS entire portfolio Develop custom solutions to meet customer requirements for the retrofit and upgrades project work. Create reports and status updates of sales project status Use escalation strategy to assist customers. Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and support the development of turnkey proposal Develop working relationships with business developers, sales channel, proposal management team, field service, and solution partners Maintain awareness of competitor plans, trends and technologies. Marketing/PR support at events i.e., tradeshows Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: 5+ years of experience and expertise working in sales and providing technical support of Siemens Machine Tool products Sinumerik Simatic Sinamics Simodrive Understanding of machining Mechanical knowledge of CNC Equipment Knowledge of basic G-code programming language, machine function and CAD/CAM software PLC step 7 and TIA programming PLC to CNC interface knowledge CNC basis programming on Siemens controllers HMI development using WinCC, WinCC flexible, Easy Screen, HMI Pro. Ability to understand and troubleshoot high precision CNC equipment. Shall be trained and be proficient in the programming, startup, testing, and troubleshooting of the Siemens SINUMERIK controller and associated products Previous experience performing machine tool electrical design, drawings, wiring, and troubleshooting. Previous experience with planning, engineering, implementation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of CNC upgrade and retrofit projects Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly to peers and management Ability to establish relationships, build teamwork in a matrix environment Machine Tool Digi app’s (i.e: ACM, ManageMymachine y etc) *Siemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
