TITLE: Service Technician COMPANY: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. DUTIES: The Customer Service Engineer must have specified service training on Siemens Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Computed Tomography (CT): Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab): Hemodynamic Systems (Sensis): Mammography: Fluoroscopy and General X-Ray. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to performing Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Installations and Calibrations on the previously mentions modalities. Work directly with customers providing quality support, knowledge and skills resulting in an acceptable, repaired and return to service, time frame for our customers. They must also be able to work with 2nd level support as technical resource & a knowledge multiplier within the field organization. Communicate within the Siemens organization to keep all parties well informed of technical information during a service escalation. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other Siemens Customer Service Engineers within the region. Determine the need for & provides on-site escalation support. Meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of the business for the position. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept an Associate’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Full term of experience must include the following skills: Knowledge of Policies, Procedures, Ability to locate, read, & understand documents for install, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams & functional descriptions; Expert in diagnosing problems; Application of basic networking theory; Ability to identify major parts (assemblies, sub-assemblies & components) & understand their function; Knowledge of safety procedures/guidelines for assigned equipment; Understanding preventative maintenance & Update procedures when required for the assigned equipment; Ability to assist in the installation of assigned modality/equipment as required; Knowledge of Principles of electricity, power supplies, & grounding; Knowledge of Basic Prism & MS Office applications; Ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose & correct complex problems to resolve system malfunctions; and Ability to identify system issues that may require applications intervention & capable of resolving some advanced application issues, such as image quality. Approximately 75% travel required.
