We are hiring a Service Technician based on skills and experience. Our Service Technicians are responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards while performing skilled work for a variety of operational duties relative to their assigned area of responsibility.

We are hiring a Service Technician based on skills and experience. Our Service Technicians are responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards while performing skilled work for a variety of operational duties relative to their assigned area of responsibility.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Skillfully performs the following duties:
- Leak surveys
- Natural gas locates
- Read all types of company gas meters
- Program and replace electronic remote transmitters (ERTS)
- Run, understand and calibrate Combustible Gas Indicator (CGI)
- Perform a basic meter set to company standards
- Perform operational functions such as installation, removal and
tests
- Respond to gas and carbon monoxide (CO) leak calls
- Emergency line repairs
- Assist with global positioning system (GPS) as requested

- Use and care for Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus (SABA) including
- Achieve Operations Qualification (OQ)certification to company
- Maintain OQ certifications (continuing education) to company
- Become qualified to serve on the On-call assignment rotation
- Accurately gather and complete all necessary information required
- Estimate time, materials and equipment required for assigned jobs;

- Perform general clean up at job sites and observe and implement
- Estimate time, materials and equipment required for assigned jobs;
- Follow good health and safety principles, practices and maintain a

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude required
- HVAC, plumbing or utility experience preferred
- Excavation/construction experience preferred
- Strong demonstrated mechanical aptitude required
- Effective interpersonal skills needed to ensure excellent customer
- Strong time management practices required to multi-task several
- Good verbal and written communication skills required for dealing

- Demonstrated work ethic
- Desire to show initiative to pursue opportunities to support

- Willingness to work with others to achieve departmental goals
- Understanding of the importance of learning and practicing safety
- Shop and field, indoor and outdoor environment; exposure to noise,
inspect in confined spaces.
- Heavy driving on a regular basis
- In state travel required (approximately 10-30% per year)
- Out of state travel required (approximately 5-15%)
