ServiceNow Developer

Job Description:

Our IT ServiceNow Developer will provide administration, application development, platform maintenance and technical support for IT and key business units, including HR. This individual will work collaboratively with our ServiceNow team and selected service providers on maturing our environment via improvements to existing services and implementations, new capabilities, automation, and platform integrations.

A typical day will include working from both a platform queue as well as participating in development projects.

This role will focus on providing solutions and support for a variety of business segments and will need to frequently learn new environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or other related degree
  • 3+ years of ServiceNow general platform experience and administration
  • 3+ years of ServiceNow development
  • ServiceNow System Admin Certification
  • Experience with Core Process Areas:  ITSM, ITBM, HR, and Service Portal
  • Experience with Platform Implementation, Upgrade, and Maintenance
  • Experience with building ServiceNow platform integrations (APIs, web services, transform maps, etc.)
  • Knowledge in web technologies (HTML, XML, Bootstrap, Angular JS, RESTful web services)
  • Experience with scripting (JavaScript, PowerShell, Python)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience in defining level of effort to fulfill customer needs
  • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow best practices (including scripting, testing, security, implementation)
  • Experience with collaboration across functional borders enterprise-wise (i.e., within and outside of IT)
  • Knowledge of CMDB and Asset Management concepts
  • Experience implementing LDAP and SSO
  • Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with the platform.
  • Knowledge of the ITSM framework (ITIL)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Service Management processes
  • Experience with HR Service Delivery implementation, administration, and support
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and documentation skills
  • Productive attitude with the focus on progressing the business forward
  • Drive efficiency and platform manageability
  • Completion of ServiceNow Application Development and Scripting in ServiceNow Fundamentals course
  • One of the following certifications: CIS – IT Service Management, CIS – Customer Service Management
