About Role:
Deployment and Managed Services are part of Lenovo’s Professional Services
strategy and is focused on delivering world-class services to help our
customers maximize value of Lenovo devices
Our service Portfolio consists of configuration & integration services,
project management & deployment, installation & implementation, data migration
and device retirement services. Lenovo also provides managed and outsourced
services to our customers.
The solutions architect works closely with the Lenovo sales team, Project
Management Office and personnel as needed, technical support and the customer
to ensure a smooth handover from solution phase to project planning,
initiation and beyond.
The tasks of the solution architect are as follows, but not limited to
• Scope customer and solution requirements using meetings, analysis,
requirements workshops, customer visits, scenarios, business analysis, task
and workflow analysis.
• Translate the requirements into architectures & solutions delivered by
Lenovo
• Drives the technical certification and validation for all opportunities
across customers solutions and architecture
• Think and act strategically, anticipate future trends and envision a path to
get there.
• Challenge existing processes to ensure the best solution
• Drive and challenge assumptions on how the project plan will be successfully
executed
• Maintain current understanding of technology, tools and toolsets in the
industry
• Works directly with Customers to drive changes or change requirements to
service delivery
• Tailor approach to match level, culture, and other circumstances.
• Autonomously able to work across regions and functions to achieve results
with minimal supervision and input
• Develop, maintain and cultivate strong trusted and meaningful customer
relationships at all levels, through a deep understanding of their key
business Issues
• Ability to articulate industry trends and act as a technical advisor during
the solutioning and presales engagements
• Other duties as assigned.
#### Position Requirements:
• Highly articulate and professional in both oral and written communication,
as well as presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills to achieve desired
result needed.
• Must have broad business experience.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from
groups of executives, managers, customers and other employees
• BS/BA required with a concentration in a business discipline preferred.
• Must have 10+ years’ experience in requirements definition, project
management, change management and problem solving in a service business
environment.
• Technical Services experience a plus.
• Experience with process improvements across regions within an organization
required
