Position Description: Lenovo Infrastructure Solution Group is in search of the right candidate to join our worldwide performance development team, which is responsible for insuring Lenovo x86-based server products delivers leadership performance when compared to x86-based server competitors. Candidate will work globally with colleagues in China and the USA to analyze and solve system issue. In addition to helping validate new products – and ensure  market requirements are met. Candidate will be required to review product’s specifications and available technical document from suppliers and other industry sources. Candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test plans and documentation for their assigned technical / technology and when issues are found – have the ability diagnose / debug the issue. Candidate will be required to communicate status and test progress to team members and leadership. Success will be measured by the timely deliverable of assigned task, communication skill and analytical skill. #### Position Requirements: • Knowledge of x86 computer architecture and peripheral components such as Network, RAID GPU adapters, Storage devices, Processor, and Memory – along with the ability and experience swap hardware components. • An understanding of power management features within the operating system as it relates to the entire system. • Experience with debugging system level configuration issues involving server firmware and system management software • Possess a desire and willingness to isolate and analyze performance bottlenecks and power consumption / usage. • Work cooperatively with other Lenovo functional teams when engaging with external customer in response to performance related inquiries. • At least 5 years work experience in a project-team type environment working for either an ODM, test lab, or computer system benchmarking agency is a plus. • Possess an applied knowledge of Linux-based operating system such as RedHat, Suse, Ubunto, and CentOS -- Linux related certification is a plus. • At least 5+ years of experience developing test automation script via programming language such as shell script • At least 5+ years of experience using uEFI or BIOS equipped system and experience operating such equipment.
