Requirements: 
A successful candidate should; 
 Possess a minimum of 2 successful years of teaching experience 
 Must have at least 2 years’ experience teaching Physics 1, 2, and C and have a 90% passing 
rate on the AP exam for former students.  
 Must be extremely passionate about teaching physics, able to motivate students’ interest and 
passion in physics, and create a dynamic learning environment. 
 Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science with a major in physics 
 Committed to engagement and success of all students within the school community  
 A solid understanding of the Homeroom Teacher role and in the development and tracking of 
student progress 
 A belief in collaboration and teamwork while serving the best interests of all students 
  Have extensive knowledge of curriculum and support balanced assessment and re‐
assessment 
 Excellent knowledge of the AP (Advanced Placement) program and an ability to work with all 
grades 9‐12 
 Strong instructional focus with regards to programming for students with diverse learning 
needs 
 Ability to adapt and modify programming based on the needs, interests, skills, and aptitudes 
of students 
 Flexible, accommodating, and innovative teaching and delivery practices 
 Flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices along with superior classroom 
management techniques 
 Ability to develop relationships and connections with students, parents, and staff in a 
collaborative environment                  
 Strong organizational, planning, and operational skills 
 Proactive approach in communication with students, parents, and staff
