Shift Logistics Operator

Castle Cary, Somerset

Salary: £19,000 plus depending on experience

 

Are you an experienced Warehouse associate with an FLT license? If so, here at Mars we now have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Operator to come and join our team in Castle Cary on a permanent basis. The purpose of the job is to assist the Finished Goods Warehouse Team and Operations Team in the daily operations within the Supply Chain warehouse.

 

What are we looking for?

• Educated to GCSE standards or above (5 GCSE’s grade C or above)
• Experience working in a Warehouse type environment
• FLT / Counterbalance / Reach License – a must!
• Written and Spoken English (Excellent communication & interpersonal skills)

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

• FLTs need to be maintained, check sheets completed and displayed, batteries kept charged/ topped up and the area must be kept clean and tidy.
• Incoming loads need to be booked in and put away ensuring that every pallet is scanned in correctly and to the correct location.  Any variation to the POD needs to be communicated to the FG Warehouse Team Leader immediately
• Work to eliminate any damages to Finished Goods
• Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to H&S, Food Safety, Quality & GMP/GHP
