Job Description
To Eaton’s Electrical Power Quality Division is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our team. The shift hours are from 10:30am-7:30pm. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility. Position Overview: The Shipper/Receiver provide manufacturing expertise and support including but not limited to, sorting, verifying, recording, and routing incoming and outgoing shipments. In this function you will: Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process and perform quality checks as instructed Operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move and allocate material Use a resource management system (SAP) to process all incoming and outgoing freight Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights and affixing proper postage and paperwork Interface with shipping office, customer service, drivers and carriers to ensure proper delivery Coordinate required emergency shipments and requests during non-work hours Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions Drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessary When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Minimum two years’ experience in a logistics or warehouse environment including order selection, packing, and receiving processes High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: Good communication and interpersonal skills Experience using SAP, warehouse management system Basic understanding of Microsoft applications Position Criteria: Ability to use good judgment when handling material with a safety focus Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
