Eaton’s Electrical Sector - Canada is currently seeking 1 Shipper and Receiver position in EPC (Edmonton Power Centre) to join our team. This position is based at our Edmonton, AB location. Position Overview: Reporting to the supply chain supervisor this position will be responsible to receive in bound goods to the EPC using our supply chain management tools. They will also be responsible for preparing outbound orders in compliance with the requirements for our customers. In this function you will: Inspect and confirm incoming goods against purchase orders and/ or shipping documents. Verify data and resolve problems regarding receiving/delivering inbound shipments Update locations of incoming good received in Oracle. Delivering materials to their correct locations Load and off-load trailers and couriers Organize and maintain the warehouse – as per Eaton’s EPC 5S process Assist with inventory control and stockroom Work with various departments to locate products Assist with shipping department Resolve incoming material discrepancies with planner and suppliers Perform inspections and updating our WISPER system. Issue DMR’s against suppliers Participate in Eaton’s safety program (MESH) Monitor Supplier Quality performance (on time delivery), defective material When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Completion of High School or GED equivalent is required. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word and Outlook and basic knowledge of Excel Forklift Certification is required – Eaton will provide training Preferred qualifications: ERP knowledge preferred Crane Certification (preferred) - Eaton will provide training At least 2 - 3 years’ experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of mechanical or electrical components preferred Knowledge of lean manufacturing preferred Understanding of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) would be an asset Position Criteria: Effective communicator and interpersonal skills, including excellent oral, written communication, and listening skills Ability to work independently and multitask, as well as in a team environment Demonstrates continuous learning through cross-training, learning new skills, and refreshing prior skills Good analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Has a strong attention to detail.
