Job Description
Eaton’s B-Line Division is currently seeking a Shipping Associate & Packer to join our 1st shift team. This position is based at our Reno, NV facility. This is a full time, direct hire position. Compensation for this role begins at $19.65 / hour. Shift Hours: 8:30AM-5PM In this function you will: Pick, pull & pack orders Verify for correct parts, quantities, finish. Stock checking. Replenish inventory as needed. Load trucks Use UPS/FED-EX system as required to perform and complete duties. Accurately and efficiently use RF scanners. Wood cutting as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise. Keep work areas clean and safe. Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas. Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor. Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility. Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications: 6 months of previous packing experience 6 months of previous forklift experience 6 months of SAP system experience Position Criteria: Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English. Forklift certified Crane certified Organized Individual accountability Works well with a team Ability to use SAP system Ability to utilize a staple gun, bander, nail gun, carton closer. Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure. Must be able to work overtime with short notice. Physical Demands: Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance. Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas). Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
