Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds division is currently seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Pearland, TX team (3530 S Sam Houston Parkway E.) This position starts at $15.19/hr Position Overview: In this role, you will work as a member of the operations team in achieving production, product quality, and employee safety goals of the Pearland facility. This role will be responsible prepares products for shipment and keeps record of outgoing products. This role reports to the Materials Supervisor directly. In this function, you will: Pick- Correctly locate and ID parts, exact quantity per list and validate pick is accurate. Pack- Identify carrier, identify packing requirements in work order, verify and pack quantities based on carrier and customer requirements, utilize System to input shipments and print labels. Ship- Complete bill of lading, prepare finish goods for shipment by examine products to ensure damaged products are not shipped, identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. Store material in assigned bin locations, replenish/replace damaged materials by following non-conforming material procedures. Support inventory control clerk, material handlers and receiving as needed. Operate various types of industrial truck (forklifts) to move material as needed Follows safety rules and maintain 5-S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in work area. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting, previous shipping experience preferred Position Criteria: Attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environment are critical for success Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours and to lift up to 50 pounds with some assistance Ability to follow all safety regulations associated Ability to carry out instructions with little or no follow-up required from supervisor(s). Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
