Eaton’s vehicle group is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney, Nebraska facility and is primarily located on 1st shift, but must be willing to work a floating schedule as business demands. In this function, you will: Must be willing to work floating shift as business demands to cover truck schedules and manpower shortages. This position must be able to work weekends and holidays which includes summer and Christmas shutdown and inventory for preparation. Prepare loads and receive shipments in Oracle/Warehouse Management System (WHS). Unloading nightly truck from warehouse and reloading unneeded packaging for return. This position also requires interaction with drivers/carriers, Materials Management personnel, Quality personnel, Supervisors, material handlers, and others that come into the department. Interactions may be in person, by phone or email. Essential physical requirements include being able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit at a desk for periods of the time to work at computer, banding pallets/boxes which requires bending and manually tightening bands, driving a fork lift on/off a trailer, going outside to load/unload pallets onto/from the back of a trailer. Other skills needed include moving pallets/trees on/off wrapper and moving pallets/trees within Shipping and stacking pallets. Person must have computer skills to be able to learn Microsoft Office, Oracle/WMS and internet to access logistics websites as needed. Person must be able to interact with individuals outside the facility as a representative of Eaton. Promote safety, quality, 5S, and production. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future Minimum 1 year manufacturing or shipping/receiving experience Preferred Qualifications: Completion or in process of completing an advanced degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain or related field from an accredited institution Minimum 1 year forklift experience is preferred We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
