Leading manufacturer of bags and luggage seeks a Shipping Manager

Our Global Innovation and Design Center is located in Europe and our Global Development and Supply Chain Center is located in Ping Di in Shenzhen from here we are in daily contact with our colleagues and customers all over the world and our extensive network of factories across China and South-East Asia.    

YOUR ROLE 

You will report directly to Supply Chain Director;

You are leading a logistics team in China and monitoring the entire logistics workflow;

You are coordinating with both internal and external parties, such as suppliers, distribution centers, forwarders and logistics team to solve logistics issues in different countries;

You are responsible for negotiating terms and conditions with forwarders to strike for services enhancement and competitive cost;

You are responsible for keeping updated information on import and export regulations, policies and duties;

You are the key person for reviewing current logistics process and procedure to improve overall efficiency and the cost;

Station two or three days per week in Shenzhen is required.

YOUR CHARACTER & COMPETENCES

• Holder of diploma or above in Logistics / Supply Chain / Transportation Management.
• Minimum 5 years’ solid experience in logistics / supply chain / transportation management of which 3 years in managerial level. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Shipping Supervisor;
• Energetic, details orientated and crucial in good team spirit
• Result Oriented. Can-do-Attitude
• Well knowledge of Incoterm. 
• L/C Knowledge
• ERP or similar system experience. 
• Able to work under tight schedule and pressure
• Background in bags & luggage manufacturing industry and multi-national traders/manufacturers is highly preferred. 
• High proficiency in both written and spoken English & Chinese, and fluency in Putonghua
