Job Description
Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles; CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for a Receiving Clerk (Material Handler A). The LA facility has approximately 250 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. The Material Handler A reports to the Logistics & Materials Supervisor. This position is responsible for receiving incoming freight, performs receipt transactions within the MFG/Pro QAD software system, and reports discrepant shipments via Cargo Claims process. The Material Handler A contributes to a work team environment and demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Promotes teamwork & partnership and performs daily functions within the company safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. Supports the focus of zero defects as well as right-the-first-time attitude. Works with Logistics & Materials Supervisor to ensure implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed these requirements as well as customer expectations. This site is offering a starting pay range of $18.50 - $26.40/hr. based on experience and + full benefits. Essential Functions: Accept & Sign for incoming packages/shipments from UPS, FedEx, DHL, and local couriers. Segregates packages into appropriate (i.e., point of use or destination) category upon arrival. Evaluates packages for damage; if damage is detected the shipping clerk must prepare claim documents and submit in accordance with Eaton’s cargo claims process. Performs data entry of inbound shipments (receipts) via ERP system. Assures product is delivered to appropriate location and/or personnel. Communicates to the purchasing team any shipments that are too early and/or can’t be received due to discrepancies. Assists Purchasing personnel as needed. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum 2 years’ experience in receiving and inventory control in a Manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Office programs, Excel, and Word, etc. Ability to read and write in English. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50mile radius of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in material handling and receiving in a manufacturing environment. Forklift Certified DOT/IATA Certified Minimum 2 years’ experience as a receiving clerk.
