Eaton eMobility is seeking a Material Handler to join our team on 1st shift (7:00am -3:30pm). This position is based at our Tualatin, OR facility. This is a direct, full-time position that offers full benefits the day you start. In addition to Eaton’s competitive benefits, Eaton offers a salary of $22.00/hour. Position Overview: The Shipping and Receiving Associate will be responsible for providing manufacturing expertise and support in the shipping area including, but not limited to, allocation of materials, kitting, verifying, receiving, and shipping with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality and on time delivery standards. In this function you will: Interface with Vendors, Drivers, Customer Service, and other Departments regarding material throughout the facility. Assist in the creation and maintenance the cycle count program. Responsible for all aspects of shipping and receiving including data entry, storage, inventory control and counts, staging, and shipping (including international shipments). Coordinate material in order to meet production ship dates and supply production with necessary parts/kits and assist shipping dock as needed. Assist receiving dock and production material handling as needed. Comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Maintain your assigned work-area by keeping it clean and organized per 5S standards and implement continuous improvement findings. Operate Forklift or Pallet Jack to sustain flow of materials for the department Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills so as to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the shipping/receiving process When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Must be authorized to work in the US without Company sponsorship Computer literate Organization skills Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs with reasonable accommodation. Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position. Must reside within 50 miles of Tualatin OR to be considered. Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years shipping / receiving experience HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution Position requires willingness to become certified in operation of forklifts and other hand tools to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas.
