About Role:
As part of the HPC server team, this signal integrity engineer is expected to
work with peer functions as a team to development the leading edge Lenovo high
performance computer offerings.
Responsibilities
* Participant in new product development phases of new generation Intel (or AMD) server product development
* Manage Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) of server products and its sub-cards development as well as the PCB stack-up
* Provide detailed SI and PI rules for cutting edge PCB design (e.g., layout design for high speed signals and connectors, SI / PI analysis and design to meet electrical requirements, electrical assurance and validation for hi-speed signals, build up design and test capability including design guidance and lab setup, etc.)
* Drive resolution of SI / PI challenges in collaboration with hardware EE design engineers and DCDC power engineers
* Work with PCB procurement, quality engineer and other simulation team in WW development lab to survey PCB material for next generation of technology
#### Position Requirements:
* Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Computer Engineering
* 7+ years of experience in high speed signal design, implementing a product development process for mass production design, with a focus on signal integrity, power integrity and electromagnetic interference (EMI)
* Knowledge of PCB material characteristic and cost info
* Experience with industry SI / PI simulation tool : Cadence Sigrity 2017
* Experience on TDR, VNA and real-time scope
* Experience working with Intel / AMD server mainboard and small card electrical design
* Fluent English ability on reading / writing and verbal communication
