Designs, develops, modifies or evaluates complex analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for analog, digital and mixed signal/electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines creative design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data. Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Applies and uses independent evaluation to selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Evaluates practical capability of vendor to support product development. Also includes Analog, MixedSignal and RF Development Engineers with specialized skills and expertise in developing Monolithic Integrated Circuits for wireless and wireline communications systems and products using CMOS, BiCMOS, SiGe, GaAs Process technologies.
In an international team of 15 designers and Si-characterization engineers in Munich you will contribute to:
hands-on electrical characterization of test structures wrt power / performance / area (PPA)-investigations in modern CMOS technologies
digital and analog test techniques at wafer and packaged level
test program development and optimization
data management and analysis automation:
data analysis wrt pre-silicon expectation for Si-verification of monitoring IP concepts and technology KPIs
holistic interpretation of silicon results in light of design/technology co-optimization for design and development partners (IP and product development) in collaboration with the teams test chip / IP concept engineers and design team.

Qualifications
Degree (MS/PhD) in electronics, electrical engineering, material sciences, physics or other natural sciences.
hands-on experience in electronics lab work ( e.g. silicon-handling and characterization (wafer, bare die, packaged samples) , wafer prober operation, instruments, test routine programming, lab planning and technical maintenance )
data analysis skills and respective software experience (e.g. mySQL, DB, JMP, NumPY, ....)
CMOS technology understanding and design/circuit know-how
Excellent communication, presentation, networking and collaboration skills are required.
Fluent in English; German is a plus
