Job Description
Eaton is looking for an Site Controller at our Porto Feliz - plant to join our team. She/He will be responsible for: Controller serves as the finance business partner to CPDI, PD/Bussmann,CH and Power Systems Sales and Operations Leadership Team in providing financial leadership to the operations in the planning and execution of business goals and objectives. Manage the functions of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit & collection and Tax requirements meeting the internal control procedures of the Corporate and Brazilian laws. Represent the Company in fiscal and customs matters. This hands-on leader manages the financial performance of businesses including: driving results through management operational performance metrics, planning, forecasting, reporting, analyzing business drivers, risks & opportunities, and administering internal controls including the faithful accomplishment of the SOX guidance, Eaton policies, and the regional tax legislations. Qualifications Job Responsibilities: • Manage the functions of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit & collection and Tax requirements meeting the internal control procedures of the Corporate and Mexican laws. Represent the Company in fiscal and customs matters. • Responsible for treasury and cash flow monthly forecast, including financial and investment needs. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, which includes credit policies and accounts receivable approval. • Verify that BR accounts are managed in accordance to PCGA and USGAAP respectively. • Issue on a timely manner monthly reports according to Corporate and Division requirements and guidance. • Implement processes for setting the standard costs as well as the frequency of its review. • Implement processes for determining the cost variations and communicate to the people involved. • Establish annual budgets and monthly business reviews. Conduct price analysis and review by product line and detect opportunities for improvement. • Responsible to report monthly business results, orders, backlog, headcount compensation, product line margins, budget expense analysis, investments analysis, and cost reduction projects and monthly forecast by business unit. • Keep financial, tax and legal records and also the company assets properly insured. • Responsible to provide the statutory trial balance to the Country Controller Team, including support and reports. • Analyze, evaluate, justify and obtain the approval for asset purchase projects. • Support E&Y in the preparation of the Income Tax Return. • Support Price Waterhouse Cooper in the preparation of the Transfer Price Studies. • File the Return and make follow up of other Tax requirements as payment of taxes and filling of different reports required by the Tax Authorities Federal and Local. • Comply with all Tax reports required by the Corporation • Responsible to prepare and report the annual Strategic Planning, Profit Plan and monthly Rolling Forecasts. Ensure all related Corporate Reports are properly issued with adequate level of support documentation for the business unit. • Supervise the Credit and Collections Department including the Credit approval to Customers and also ensuring limit of authority policy properly followed by the operation and regularly reviewed for reasonableness. • Responsible to report monthly business results for ESA LATAM - Brazil, including sales, orders, standard margins, and profits. • Responsibility for accuracy of inventory transfers and inventory balances, physical inventory and cycle counting, and inventory account reconciliations. • Responsible to elaborate the payroll and benefits. • Meet any other activity assigned by supervisor or special requirements of the company. • Active participation in continues improvements programs and committees. • Comply the Eaton Business System (EBS), in foundations, Planning, Growth, Functional Excellence, Assessment and Learning, mainly in the Eaton Business Excellence (EBE); ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and its tools (such as: Eaton Quality System (EQS), Eaton Lean System and Six Sigma-ELS, HR Standard Work, Employee Survey Operational Assessment (OpA). • Know and comply the Policies: Global Ethics, Values and Philosophy, Management Environmental Safety and Security and Health (MESH). Experience required for the position: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited . • Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution (preferred). • Minimum of 7 years Finance function experience in a large company required. • Minimum of 5 years Finance function experience in a combined manufacturing/commercial environment with demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction projects and improve plant productivity." • Advanced knowledge in Excel, Power Point, Word. • Solid working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Working knowledge of pronouncements of external regulatory bodies: Financial Accounting Standards Board, SEC, IRS, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc • Must have advance level verbal and written English skills required." • Demonstrated strong skills on following competencies: Analytical Skills, Action Oriented, Business Acumen, Customer Focus, Developing Direct Reports and Others, Functional/Technical Skills, Integrity and Trust, Priority Setting, Problem Solving, Process, Management, Drive for Results, Managerial Courage, Interpersonal Skills.
