Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Division is seeking a Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager will be based at our Houston, TX facility (near Pearland, TX, S. Sam Houston Parkway E). The HR Manager position located in Houston; TX is the sole HR representative onsite at the manufacturing facility. This position reports directly to the Houston Plant Manager. The individuals are responsible to develop, implement and administer Human Resources policies, practices, strategies and services across Houston, TX plant. The incumbent will ensure success by driving positive employee relations, supporting key business objectives, and HR functional excellence activities. In this role you will: Administer employee relations policies and procedures that are responsive to the needs of employees and customers; as well as compliment the Eaton Leadership Attributes Assess and select talent and train and coach managers on the process Monitor performance management procedures to assure fair and equitable treatment for all employees Inform and train employees of Corporate and Divisional human resources policies and procedures Provide a resource for all managers and supervisors in the areas of Human Resources including guidance on motivating, counseling, and developing direct and indirect reports, as well we employee performance improvements Represent the Company’s programs, policies, and procedures in matters involving EEOC, AAP, and OFCCP Develop, implement and monitor compliance with affirmative action policies that meet federal and state legislation as well as Corporate policy Coordinate training and development programs, including new employee orientation, to meet the needs and objectives of individuals and departments Administer compensation programs to assure competitive pay practices through general wage analysis of Houston for hourly and merit increases for salaried employees following the talent management processes Conduct, coordinate and monitor employee meetings and involvement programs Plan, develop and implement employee communication, recognition and motivational programs that enhance the working environment and aid in attracting and retaining superior talent When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university Minimum 2 years direct HR work experience Must be mobile and open to relocating to support another facility after 1 - 2 years in role, when needed Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in human resources or an MBA with a human resources concentration Previous experience in a manufacturing environment Fluency (written and verbal) in both English and Spanish.
