Eaton is seeking a Human Resources Manager for its distribution centre operations in the Electrical Sector Americas region. The position will be based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Position Overview: The position is based at the Mississauga, Ontario facility – with approximately 80 employees, half of which are union employees. This position will also provide HR Business Partner support for our Calgary, Alberta distribution centre team, made up of approximately 20 employees. This role reports directly into the site leader and functionally into the HR leader for the operations, supply chain and distribution centre organizations. This role will identify and deploy business-driven HR strategies designed to attract, manage, develop and retain key people while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization capable of achieving the business objectives and action plans. Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to labour relations, staffing, culture, engagement and building organizational capabilities. Essential Functions: In this role you will be responsible for the daily activities of the Distribution Centre and you will: Lead the Human Resources function and act as a key member of the plant leadership team to drive all strategic and operational HR activities for the Mississauga and Calgary distribution centres. Lead employee and labour relations for the hourly union and salaried employees by building relationships, practicing positive employee engagement and investigating and resolving labour and employee issues timely and effectively. Lead the talent acquisition strategy for all salaried and hourly positions while understanding trends in the local and national labour markets, facility turnover and annual profit plan headcount requirements. Lead the talent management and organizational effectiveness strategy by championing robust cross-training, succession planning, performance management practices and developing talent. Partner with the plant manager and EHS manager to lead an effective site security strategy Foster a culture where ownership of health and safety is embraced by all employees. Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources Qualifications Position Criteria: Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with strong ability to drive results. Ability to operate within tight deadlines with multiple priorities that are subject to frequent changes. Self-directed, proactive leadership style, reliable, self-starter Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a multi-functional and matrixed organization Demonstrates professionalism and service-oriented personality with all levels of employees and leaders Demonstrate Eaton’s Leadership Attributes and serve as a role model for facility, including upholding Eaton Code of Ethics Effective time management and project management skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with specialization in Human Resources, business or related discipline CHRP Certification preferred Manufacturing or distribution centre experience Digital Mindset.
