Job Description
Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Site Human Resources Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Haina facility. Plan, develop and sustain a work environment culture that will make work exciting, engaging and meaningful for our employees. Oversees labor laws and Eaton HR procedures and policies deployment and compliance for the site assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Staffing and Recruiting: Attract, recruit, interview, screen and recommend for selection applicants for open positions (internal and external) Maintains personnel records/ files with full employment history, performance records, and required legal documentation Wage and Salary Administration (supported by shared services from RPD) Ensure compliance with local wage regulations. Plan, deploy, train and perform accurate administration of salaried and hourly performance evaluation process. Coordinate and prepare annual merit planning process for hourly and salaried personnel, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Review, approve all salary changes for hourly & salary employees, in accordance with Eaton policies and procedures. Employee Benefits Services: Follow up cafeteria services, with the support of the committee on site. Ensure services are provided for each shift Received, review and support employees concerns related to day to day services (payment discounts, services vendor follow up, etc) Training and Development (supported by Campus Development team for common programs (Eaton University, Functional Tailored, Schoolarships, etc) at Haina locations and process improvements) Perform ongoing training needs analysis in conjunction with department managers. Develop and implement annual training for hourly and salary employees. Implement and monitor training programs for new hires at manufacturing area (certification & cross training process) Responsible for the OCA process for the business: train managers, forms update, Talent meeting reviews. Employee Relations Updates deploy and train employees among Eaton policies and procedures. Plans follow up and establish action plan to impact key HR metrics: employee turnover, absenteeism, recognition, community involvement, communication log action closure, engagement action plan, employee’s performance reviews. Develop and implement effective employee recognition programs / activities for the site Compliance with all pertinent labor laws. Sustain HR Standard work related to Culture pillar Human Resources Department Leadership and Management Manage the employees within Human Resources with full compliance with the Eaton policies and procedures in an exemplary manner. Manage the Human Resources budget in order to optimize organization resources toward organizational goals. Provide Human Resources employees with clear guidance, development and recognition. Information Systems (payroll and attendance supported by HRServices team at Haina) Review information reports in order to ensure accuracy for the site. Perform specific functions to this position describe at the Quality Manual. Apply all corporate programs related to Human Resources: OpA, Eaton Jobs, HR Standard Work, MESH, Ethics, EQS. Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the MESH Coordinator. Assist to all EHS training assigned. Promote and promulgate all MESH. Process and Policies to all the employees for the site and ensure that they are being performed at the plant. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by his/her personal under his/her supervision. Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Degree in Industrial Psychology, Business Administrator or related areas. Preferable Master Degree in Human Resources Administration. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in all areas of Human Resources. Full Bilingual (English/Spanish) PC knowledge: Microsoft Office. Prefer: Oracle / SPN Full understanding of Dominican Republic labor laws.
