Job Description
Eaton is seeking a Site Leader for its centre in the Electrical Sector Americas region. The position will be based in Brossard, Montreal, Quebec. Position Overview: The Montreal Site Leader will be responsible for ensuring the operation of all facets of the Montreal location and coordinating support as needed for all personnel attached to the site as needed and required. This role will be responsible for growth expectations and responsibilities for the site. This role will have a responsibility to lead the day-to-day business activities for the site including but not limited to general site management, EHS, maintenance, and financial stewardship. This role will be responsible for collaborating with business and functional leaders at the site and potentially within the great Eaton businesses. The site leader will be responsible for building organizational capabilities at the site in line with the overall strategic vision and plans for the business and in support of the plans for the functions based at the site. The site leader will be responsible for identifying, driving, and complying with site business processes and continuous improvement expectations. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Advanced Technology, Centers of Excellence. In this function you will: Directly manage the site HR, EHS, Maintenance, Finance leaders along with providing indirect leadership to the business and functional teams working at the site Identify strategic alliances / equity agreements with external organizations to support growth strategies. Support business leaders with local site-specific information necessary for business leaders to execute their strategic processes. Build organizational capability through identifying new talent and developing existing talent within the business unit, divisions, and group. Hire, train, and develop staff – taking corrective action as necessary and in a timely manager in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with current regulations – consulting with the Human Resources (HR), Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), as well as Legal Departments as appropriate. Manage resource investment in organization development, capital equipment and new technology to assure organizational, product and market leadership Establish and lead an effective capital management process. Foster an environment which promotes Eaton’s goals, values, and philosophy, encourages continuous improvement, and builds customer relationships and vigorously promotes a solution-based approach to business challenges. Celebrate and recognize accomplishments among all the global product line employees and ensure that the attitudes are matched by engagement and accomplishment. Identify and drive improvement of the business processes. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution in business, engineering or a closely related field required Bilingual (French and English). Minimum 7 years senior management experience combining significant global operations and engineering roles of increasing responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications: Electrical industry experience Digital Mindset - Ability to use Data to help drive decision making process Experience in software development processes. Position Criteria: Strong background in strategic planning and building organizational capability through communicating a vision that both engages and motivates the organization. MBA preferred Prefer a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent) in electrical, computer, software, or similar engineering degree from an accredited institution Solid understanding of software development process Results oriented and highly adaptable person who can be a supportive team player in a corporate environment. A focused, intelligent individual who is a pragmatic motivator with good decision-making skills. Strong leadership skills along with proven capability to deliver results and build high performance teams.
