Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide services to treat minor (first aid) injuries, as well as, support life preserving care until handover to paramedics, over the course of daily site activities, including extended hours
- Liaise with paramedics and pass all information on the status of the injured party to allow them to adequate continue treatment i.e. maintain chain of custody for medical treatment
- Promote a health related subject at the mass safety talk and lead health promotional activities as part of an overall safety campaign.
- Arrange medical waste removal and use bio hazard receptacles.
- Check and verify medical equipment to support first aid level of care.
- Liaise with local hospital on injuries beyond first aid care.
- Provide guidance and plan for the maintenance of medical equipment.
- Conduct monthly welfare checks on rest room and canteen/ rest facilities and provide a basic report.
- Conduct monthly checks on contractor first aid kits.
- Provide counselling for workers.
- Support review of medical questionnaire and refer individuals not meeting the criteria for respirator FIT testing to a physician.
- Support emergency drills, as required.
- Liaise with nominated physician, as and when required by local regulations.
- Support incident investigations including, consent for medical information, related to incidents, from injured parties.
- Facilitate Alcohol and Drug Tests
Requirements
- Personal Protective Equipment (hardhat, safety boots, gloves and glasses) provided, may be needed in the construction area.
- Should be able to converse in Chinese and English
- Must be register as a nurse in Taiwan
- Must hold the relevant nursing qualifiaction to statisfy the regulaitons for construction
