Eaton’s Aerospace Group, Fuel Motion Control Division (FMC) is currently seeking a Site Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Los Angeles, CA facility (near Glendale metro). Relocation is provided within the United States. Position Overview: This position gives overall direction to the product quality and employee involvement programs; develops, implements, and monitors progress against short and long-rang plans to achieve quality objectives, meet customer specifications, and contribute to overall profit. Incumbent is responsible for enlisting all management staff members and, through them, their subordinates, in the development and manufacture of consistently high-quality products at competitive cost. Encourages and supports employee participation at all levels in the resolution of product quality problems, ensures the provision of employee recognition, as appropriate, and promotes positive Company-oriented attitudes towards quality assurance and reliability of Eaton Aerospace Engineering products. In this role, you will: Develop, implement, and monitor performance against short and long-range plans to achieve quality engineering objectives. Implement short and long-range plans relative to quality assurance. Identify needs and develop the quality engineering function. Develop or modify quality procedures, metrics, and processes to achieve quality and on time delivery goals. Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality. Select and develop competent quality engineers and in plant auditors to ensure quality goals are achieved. Provide reports as required and drive corrective action and preventive action for timely and effective completion. Assist as required in all technical qualify functions as necessary. Assure effective communication and reporting to customers. Assure compliance with control phase of quality systems and initiatives such as internal auditing, statistical process control and testing. Provide support and leadership to Quality Engineering in new product development. Support the development and utilization of quality feedback tools to maintain and implement "lessons learned". Support the achievement of Cost of Quality, goals as identified by the Plant Manager. Effectively manager supplier quality related concerns and deploy robust corrective actions associated with it. Provide support to the Supply Chain Management organization relative to Supplier Quality activities of the operation as well as provide Quality interface, expertise and support to the organization’s suppliers and partners. This includes the feedback of supplier performance to suppliers and the Division. Develop a thorough understanding of the Eaton Business System (EBS) with expertise in the tools related to Quality (e.g. – EQS, BSC, EBEA, Corporate Quality Policy, Ethics, Vision, Mission, Values, Philosophy) Manage the budget of the Quality organization When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Minimum of five (5) year’s Quality experience in a manufacturing or operations environment Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory and/or management role This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: AS9100 Certification experience FAA Repair Station experience Direct customer interface, manage and resolve complaints Thorough knowledge of Divisional policies, objectives and procedures regarding detection and analysis of product nonconformance to specification. Basic understanding of statistical quality control, and Eaton Engineering systems, components, and product applications. Thorough knowledge of cost control techniques as they apply to the total quality concept, budgeting and fixed asset planning for return on investment. Administrative skills required to guide product quality, employee involvement and productivity programs. Highly developed human relations, communications and internal consulting skills necessary to establish and maintain effective work relationships with the various plant functions and Division staff, customer and supplier personnel, and to promote and motivate employee involvement in, and acceptance of, new methodologies, etc. The expected annual salary range for this role is $135,000 - $186,000.
