Position Summary:

Candidate must have some understanding of working and supporting Intellectual Property of a large multi-national corporation. He/she must have a keen eye for details, systematic and be able to perform tasks based on formalized procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Role involves liaising work under supervision of customer’s IP Manager on various matters relating to Management of Intellectual Property
• This would require following specific items:

• Extensive reading of Patent and Technical Literature to derive insights
• Comprehending customer’s competitors IP Strategy and deriving actionable insights relevant to customer’s business

• One Specific project is to help develop ideal IP Strategy for new technology areas like Digital, AI, AR, VR etc considering the markets of interest for customer
• Helping Enforce our Design IP rights on E-commerce channel in Asia (with specific focus on China and Japan). This would require identifying infringing products on E-commerce websites and submitting complaints for take down.
• Work may involve partnering with internal customer’s professionals as well as with external vendors to achieve above work

Qualifications and Criteria

• Possess Masters or Ph.D. in any field, preferably Chemical or Chemistry
• Proficiency in English and Chinese language is must. Person should be able to read and comprehend patents/technical documents written in English and Chinese.
• Prior Knowledge or Experience of working with various forms of Intellectual Property is a must
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently
