What will you do?
- Perform inventory management duties to include receiving, product put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.
- Experience in a laboratory setting;
- Safety and the ability to maintain a compliant, highly effective and efficient product environment is critical.
- Inventory management of items such as lab consumables, archival library, and lab automation equipment
- Maintains records to comply with regulatory requirements utilizing current Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Maintain areas in high state of inspection preparedness.
- High level of attention to detail in both operations and documentation is required.
- Recognize & accurately report problems
- Utilize basic systems to support various inventory and chemical management systems.
- Remove cardboard and trash as needed (Detrashing).
- Execute tasks associated with media and buffer preparation operations
- Run Autoclave and perform Dart test.
- Wipe down and clean lab service areas and Fume Hoods.
- Working conditions include extensive walking/standing, ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds consistently, and ability to work with carcinogenic, mutagenic, and irritant classified chemicals
- Follows established safety and environmental guidelines and procedures for all work performed.
- Follow well defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, Standard Operation Procedures & Work Instructions.
- Communicate any customer issues or potential problems with the Site Supervisor.
- Access & utilize Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Intranet and SharePoint document management system.
- Work effectively with a diverse cross-functional team.
- Embrace Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.
- Positively Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
- Experience working in teams
- Scientific skill set with a background in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology or related field
- Proven excellence in customer service
