Position Summary:

The candidate shall have some basic experience (practical or academic) in scientific laboratory work running routine validated test methodologies and be able to perform data analysis all under good manufacturing practices.

Essential Functions:

• Qualified for and able to perform the following:
(a) Routine validated laboratory technical tests (eg. pH and Suds Volume test,etc.),
(b) Physicochemical measurements (eg. Viscosity and density)
(c) Sensory/Odor assessment (eg. Gardner Color and Grease grading Test)
on finished products as directed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and organization’s safety and quality requirements
• Organize and pull out stability samples for submission for odor/sensory assessment, preservative/assay measurements and microbiological stability testing
• Assist in materials movement from lab to storage within building and to other labs
• Tabulate, process and submission of data to work request management and submission system
• Serve as panelists for product evaluation
• Replenish and track laboratory samples, consumables and reagent inventory as well as shipment preparation
• Perform daily laboratory housekeeping; maintenance and upkeep of lab cleanliness and organization
• Routine calibration and maintenance of basic equipment and stability chambers
• Communicate with Team Leader and/or Supervisor on work assignments, product testing deviation, instrumentation failures/issues or any other laboratory anomalies
• Conduct all assigned work in compliance with our organization’s safety and quality requirements

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Possess a Diploma in Science or related disciplines with some laboratory experiences and prior knowledge in the use of general laboratory equipment would be an advantage.

• Is meticulous, observant and motivated at work
• Good organizational and coordination skill to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed
• Have basic skills in Microsoft Office suite of software
