Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG), which is Intel's FPGA business, is seeking to recruit an engineering manager to join its Cloud and Enterprise Acceleration Division, System Solution Engineering team based in Marlow, UK. This team creates reference solutions, reusable IP components and turn-key design services, using Intel FPGAs, for top customers and strategic opportunities in the cloud datacenter space. Intel FPGAs have been successful in hyperscale datacenters due to their unique capability to offer performance close to custom silicon whilst retaining programmability somewhat similar to software.
Current active designs relate to networking, storage and cryptographic acceleration in datacenter infrastructure.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with some of Intel's top cloud datacenter experts from all around the world on projects for tier-1 customers. The key activities include managing a team of diverse competencies , including architecting, RTL development, verification and validation.
The role encompasses both line management and technical knowledge on the subject matter. The candidate will be expected to represent and engage in discussions related to the activities of the group to customers and partners.

Qualifications
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer engineering or a related discipline Familiarity with FPGAs design
- Sufficient experience in managing engineering teams
- Knowledge of networking applications
- Knowledge of the PCIe standard
- An understanding of the strength of FPGAs
- Knowledge of an application area (microservices, virtualisation, switching, storage)

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
