Job Purpose/Overview

The co-pilot will be responsible for business partnering with the different departments and the collection, compilation, analysis and reporting of financial information for the financial shaping/decision-making process, as well as preparing presentations and making recommendations to management.
The Co-Pilot will be the link with the Global FP&A Team in RC to provide all reporting requested on HFM, Helios,etc.

 

Key Responsibilities 

Co-piloting (70%)
•    Co-Piloting / management / reporting:
    Co-piloting and deliver periodical analysis and insights on the full Benelux P&L
    Be the Business partner of the demand teams 
     Co-pilot and animate A&PD Departments review. Deliver A&PD report. Identify Investments opportunity's with each Leadership members
    Ad hoc requests (deep dives, investments)
•    OP (deck / files preparation): Responsible to deliver full deck and animate the OP process in the unit
•    S&OP+ (Finance dashboards/Slides for Cluster DMR and IR)
•    SRM validation Ensure SRM output is aligned with OP, R&A and our Strategy
•    Forecasting Topline (NSV) Responsible for translation volumes to NSV + check on Trade A&CP forecast
•    Business cases for example for new customers, (customer)investments, Activity ROI and Roles & Ambition
•    AAD, Townhall (preparation financial decks)
FP&A (30%)
•    Period closing:
    Accruals, Journals, Blackline
    Comments Europe/Benelux Leadership Team
    YE activities
    Reporting & Analyses
•    Periodical HFM submission (WBP, P&L)
•    Cost Collector maintenance 1NAV

 

Context and Scope
Royal Canin Benelux runs the business as a cluster organization; organizing its route to market via 3 channels (Specialty Trade, Veterinarian, Professional). Each of these pillars are supported by Co-Pilots to ensure delivery of pillar results. The Finance Co-pilot is a critical role as the position consolidates individual department results and generates a holistic view of the company’s performance. The associate will be the interface to the FP&A Team at the HQ. The position holder will be involved in both co-piloting/analysis/recommendation and strategy of the full unit. The position will also support the business with ad-hoc and periodic variance analysis and an unbiased view of the unit’s business performance.

Education & Professional Qualifications    
•    University degree (or equivalent) in finance or accounting
•    Experience in Accounting / (Business) Controlling department is required.
Knowledge / Experience  

 A good level of understanding of the financial processes and experience in co-piloting is must 
Very good command of English language. 
Additional language skills (e.g. French) would be a plus.
