Intel IP Engineering Group invites you to be part of a senior team dedicated to developing and leading methodology across 100+ Soft IPs, many of which are ground-breaking high-performance IPs. This is a unique opportunity for continued development by joining an experienced team on an accelerated learning path to have a high impact role across multiple domains. Current efforts of the team include designing innovations to qualify IPs easily and efficiently across multiple process nodes, develop methodologies to achieve best in class performance, defining and driving methodology advancement across the IP execution teams, and improving the efficiency of construction methodology.
As a Physical Design Engineer, this position focuses on developing and implementing the methodology to be used across all soft IP on industry-leading internal and external nodes for top level construction and quality checks. The team is currently investigating opportunities with multiple vendors including Synopsys and Cadence to ensure that the methodologies use the best-in-class tools for enhanced quality, efficiency, and ease of use.
You must have expertise in design and development of scripts using TCL, Perl/Python and other languages. You should possess a technical understanding of the following concepts either through industry experience:
Synthesis, place, and route
Block-level floor planning and layout
Clocking and budgeting methodologies
Power grid and floorplan design
Timing and power analysis and verification
Semiconductor device and sub-micron IC design methodology
High speed circuit design
In addition to the technical qualifications listed above, you will need to demonstrate the following traits:
Strong analytical, problem solving, and teamwork
Effective communication with large number of design engineers
Good scripting skills
Proficient documentation and presentation design
Strong collaboration across multiple teams across different sites/geolocations
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of experience - OR - Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of experience in:
SOC/IP physical design
RLS
Floor planning and routing
Physical design convergence and tape-in
Interconnect design and analysis
Translation of architectural specification into physical domain
RTL/Logic design (Verilog, VCS, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Electronic Design Automation tools such as Synopsys or Cadence packages
Circuit Design
Computer architecture
TCL, Perl, and Python programming

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$97,500.00-$146,340.00
