Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessment of our supplier factories to ensure compliance to Tesco’s ethical standards and ensuring any non-compliances are corrected in a timely manner
• Support suppliers in completing ethical audits and closing out non-compliances (where required)
• Organize and deliver supplier workshops regularly to update suppliers and factories our ethical requirements and share best practices and provide guidance to them
• Conduct shadow audits regularly to understand the quality of our service providers (e.g. external audit company or external project organizations)
• Develop and deliver supplier or factory improvement projects to upgrade our supply base
• Communicate regularly with other functions like technical and commercial to ensure they are updated on the standards and the ethical risks in their supply base and find solution in a collaborative manner
• Collaborate with colleagues across functions I work closely with
• Assist managers to develop supply base analysis
• Implement the Responsible Sourcing Strategy and work plans, review progress regularly to achieve the expected results

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in an international manufacturing company or in a sourcing office or with a supplier/ 3rd party service provider
• Knowledge about ISO9000 and SA8000 certification, has Ethical trading practices
• Good English communication skills both in verbal and written
• Can work independently and under pressure
• Can travel frequently
