Job Description
CYPA Academics Architect Social Sciences/Sciences FULL-TIME
Start Date: ASAP
LOCATION:
Shenzhen
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Teach one or more of the following subjects: Biology, Computer Science, Psychology, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, or other fields | State in your online application ALL POSSIBLE subjects you CAN teach.
2. Advise Research Projects and Creative Projects in the Social Sciences and/or Sciences area
3. 1-1 Mentoring and guidance for Junior and Senior students (Ten students maximum)
4. Develop/Refine Project-based curriculum in the field(s) that you teach
5. Assist with video and other creative content creation at CYPA
6. Plan CYPA traditional events, games, and implement new social activities
7. Design and implement new projects and programs at CYPA
8. (Optional but encouraged) Lead service trips to places like Sichuan Housing Project, Yunnan Tibetan Assist-Teach and Research, Thailand Elephant research, and more.
9. If interested, you will have many chances to take on a project from another department of CYPA. You must indicate what else you would like to do in your Cover Letter: Business aspects, Student Activities, Design/Art Aspect, Advertising, Hiring and Recruiting, Public Relations- the options are limitless if your interest is there!
Qualifications
• High integrity and scholarly attributes.
• Love/Patience with students, understand their cultural background and teach them yours, yet at the same time making an IMPACT through exerting influence on them to grow according to your guidance.
• Punctual and efficient. CYPA moves at an extremely fast pace. Meeting project deadlines, planning events ahead of time, managing students’ performance effectively, etc. are all crucial.
• Innovative spirit and ability to come up with creative ideas and solutions to existing problems
• Team player. There are constant communication between you and the whole team of CYPA to address issues about academics, administration, students, and various other issues. We are efficient and happy at CYPA because we communicate a lot. We also have our own Book Club and other events for team-building.
