Plan and deliver Secondary Social Studies in accordance with Alberta Program of Studies, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
 Establish and maintain effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
 Use English as the exclusive language of instruction, implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
 Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
 Maintain regular and effective communication with parents regarding student progress, activities, and school events. Foster strong partnerships with parents to support the holistic development of each student.
 Provide emotional support, personal assistance and tutoring for all student residents.
 Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
 Integrate technology to enhance instructional delivery and learning experience.
 Order supplies, assess maintenance needs, and assist in room assignments.
 Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive and integrated curriculum.
 Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
 Attend staff meetings as required.
 Contribute to the organization and participation in school events, field trips, and other related activities.
 Contribute expertise and passion to After School Activities (ASAs), actively participating in planning and facilitating engaging extracurricular programs for student enrichment and holistic development.
