RESPONSIBILITIES

- Delivering lessons that foster knowledge and generate enthusiasm for social studies
- Teaching various subjects in social studies, including: history, government, economics, civics, sociology, geography and anthropology
- Utilizing curriculum that includes lectures, reading assignments, and group discussions
- Initiating, facilitating, and moderating classroom discussions
- Investing in students’ well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially, and emotionally
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, school administrators and other staff
- Preparing student worksheets and grading educational materials provided to students
- Testing student levels with appropriate assessments and setting progress goals
- Evaluating and grading student classwork, assignments, and papers
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours

SALARY

- 28,000 – 33,000 Chinese Yuan per month ($50,000 – $57,000 per year)
- summer holiday (2 months)
- $700 to $1,000 is the monthly cost of living

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field
- 2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Teachers over 60 are not eligible due to China's work visa policies.
- Ability to speak Chinese is NOT required.
