The Software Application Development Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Specializes in deployment, maintenance, and documenting of the software toolchain for source code management, software compilation, and/or artifacts content distribution
• Ensures the efficient planning, installation/configuration, maintenance, and operations of software infrastructure required to build, validate, and release a wide variety of software products and projects
• Oversees and ensures timely software releases and may manage the software implementation process from development to execution
• Sets nightly builds, static and binary code analysis, and oversees proper packaging of new software version releases
• Requires deep knowledge of software configuration management, CI CD systems, and discipline in managing infrastructure as code

In addition, the ideal candidate should also exhibit the following skills:

• Experience working independently on troubleshooting/resolving issues, capturing/analyzing benchmark performance, and reporting out findings

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of practical work experience with GIT-based systems like GitHub, GitLab, or SCM systems.
• 2+ years of experience in Windows and Linux administration.
• 2+ years of technical experience in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience working in an Agile environment and or Scrum practices
• 1+ years of experience with databases
• 1+ years of experience with XSA - HDI Container
• 2+ years of deep expertise in building systems like Jenkins, Teamcity, QuickBuild
• 2+ years of experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
• 2+ years of customer-facing role enabling engineer role
• Experience with on-prem to cloud migrations will be added bonus
