We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our SDL Engineering Software team in the Product Assurance and Security (IPAS) Organization. We work in a scrum environment providing SDL (Security Development Lifecycle) applications, tools and security reports that enable Intel to develop and maintain secure products.

We are looking for team members who will help us scale up our ability to deliver best-in-class solutions including corporate security dashboards, analytics, and reporting. Using current programming languages and technologies, in this role you will write code, complete programming, perform testing and debugging of applications and reporting. Taking advantage of modern analytic techniques and strategies, this is an opportunity to utilize and highlight your analytical skills. Responsibilities may include:

• Use modern reporting tools to streamline, influence and automate manual, repetitive reporting processes, bringing new insights to leaders in an interactive and timely manner

• Use data modeling, prototyping, statistics, and data mining to collect, explore, and extract insights and present them using Power BI

• Develop scaled data models for the enterprise to proliferate security data and increase automation to provide useful insights to inform decision making

• Design, build, validate, and deploy BI solutions

• Code and deploy web application features

• Conduct testing and troubleshooting

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Science or related field with five years of experience, or Master's degree with at least four years of experience:

• Background in BI and data analytics

• Power BI report creation expertise and experience in application development or BI and analytics solutions development

• Ability to expand beyond descriptive analytics to initiate data-derived insights through use of tools and platforms such as: Power BI, Visual Studio, SSAS (MDX and creating tabular models/cube), scripting languages (e.g. SQL)

• Experience with BI Reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, SQL Server Analysis Services, Excel (Power Query and DAX programming) to deliver high quality, professional dashboards

• Demonstrated skills and proficiency in Power BI visualization techniques

• Analytical problem solver

• Ability to experiment, learn, persist through setbacks, and solve difficult problems with a methodical approach

• Excellent software design, coding, and debug skills

• Programming languages (i.e. SQL, Python, HANA, R)

• Strong skills in writing complex views, stored procedures, and triggers

• Creating and maintaining data models

• Experience pulling data from different sources using Linked servers, APIs, Powershell, ETL tool such as SSIS, Python scripts

• Ability to triage, troubleshoot failed jobs, analyze and tune to address slow performance

• Ability to work well in a team, with experience working as part of an Agile team

• Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools. e.g. Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development

• Knowledge and/or course work in fundamentals of testing, data structures, and/or statistical data analysis
