Your essential responsibilities include: • Architect the technical solution for the next generation of Digital products to offer our customers, with the support for the team by effectively leveraging Agile best practices • Define and deliver software solutions that translate across Cloud, mobile and web applications to create a complete solution that suffices not only customer needs but also needs of Eaton Sales and services teams • In this role the Architect will be functionally reporting to the ES-EMEA group head and be responsible for multiple software solutions across the division, with the team located across multiple locations • A system thinking mindset is a must with the ability to understand the bigger picture • Stage work and delegate appropriate aspects of design and implementation to other developers, ensuring compliance with architecture and systems/design requirements. • Evaluate system performance requirements and model future requirements to identify and mitigate risks. Collaborate with the cross functional team (Hardware / Firmware / Mechanical) to support development and testing • Collaborating with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications. Using tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product. Developing high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility • Leads product development & technology innovation (Mobile, Desktop & Web Apps) by understanding product requirements, design & develop feature enhancements and implementation of world class high performance enterprise grade software applications for electrical products using technologies like Angular, C# .Net, WPF. • Train, develop and motivate colleagues on technical aspects demonstrating ‘Right to Left’ thinking (starting with consideration for end user) Qualifications Bachelors or Masters in computer science / electronics/ E&TC/ Instrumentation engineering • 15+ years of experience in SW development. • Minimum 5 years of experience defining distributed software architecture. • Experience with Enterprise software solutions that monitor Industrial applications along with understanding of what and which databases to use for optimal solution is a must have • Experience providing software solutions in Electrical domain and awareness of applicable standards will be desired • Experience working on software solutions that interact with embedded systems using industrial protocols like Ethernet/IP, TCP, Modbus, MQTT would be desired • Experience in developing and delivering microservices based architecture for cloud based solutions will be an added benefit" • Extensive knowledge in software development and coding languages like (C# .Net, Java, Angular, React, etc.) • Excellent knowledge of software and application design across desktop, mobile and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure) • Excellent knowledge of UML and other modelling tools • Sound knowledge of design patterns, Object oriented design principles, secure coding and cybersecurity best practices • Good understanding of Software Quality Assurance Principles with an inclination to Test left philosophies • Proven ability to think beyond the present into the future to ensure software solution is upgradable and improved over time • Understanding of how software solutions can be monetized based on features and customer deployments • Proved ability to drive process frameworks and improvements (e.g. CMMI) including requirements management, defect tracking, build management, change management, CI/CD and configuration management tools • Experience using SDLC management tools in a team environment (e.g. Jira, Git, etc.) • Knowledge of Software FMEA and experience with deploying DFSS on software solutions will be an added benefit • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment • Strong planning and organizational skills Yes!
