Accor is implementing the SAM practice in his IT Department (Accor Tech) for the overall needs of the Group.

Job Overview

The Software Asset Manager or SAM ensures the software lifecycle of all the group's technological assets.

He ensures the proper compliance of the uses of the assets in conjunction with all stakeholders: IT departments, business owners, Legal and Procurement teams.

It aims to optimize the uses and costs of licenses, maintenance and cloud services.

He also provides expertise and support to the Accor Tech and any department of the group managing software Assets, the Procurement Department, and the Legal Department in their technical and commercial relations with software publishers.

Role and responsibilities:

Software Lifecycle ManagementMonitors the license uses and the evolution of the licensing rules of the suppliers who will be assigned to ensure the consistency of the installations and the rights of use (in relation to the contractual and technical elements collected.)

Plans and coordinates software inventories within the organization (identification and analysis of contracts and licenses/maintenance/subscriptions acquired, inventories of software deployments, uses and projects impacting needs).

Creates and ensures that the license management data repository is maintained.

Define and maintain the Software Catalog.

Define implement and administer Software Asset Management tooling

Ensure the Software compliance (ensures the conformity of the uses of the assets with the acquired rights) and manage the publisher audit from the start.

Assesses deviations and values risks, Set up remediation plans if necessary.

Manage the relationship with the main suppliers to ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs relating to the use of software, especially Cloud;

Manage, control and evolve the reporting in place on the use of software licenses (number of licenses, costs, use);

Demand Management:  Supports project managers and buyers to quantify and optimize acquisition costs and inform them of license counting procedures and associated costs.

Optimization:

Optimize the portfolio of software assets and maximize their uses by avoiding redundancies and shortfalls in relation to needs (minimizes financial risk in particular) and keeps up-to-date license allocations / assignments.

Identifies technical, commercial, contractual levers to control or reduce software needs and/or costs. Work closely with Procurement and Business owners for implementation of recommendations.

Evaluates the savings associated with these optimizations and the possible costs of implementation as well as the associated impacts.

Qualifications:

Higher Education, you have a successful professional experience of at least 5 years in Software Asset Management.

A solid knowledge of the licensing rules of the main publishers (SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, Adobe, Nutanix, Salesforce) and Cloud infrastructures (AWS, AZURE) as well as the organizational principles and IT environments to have the necessary levers to achieve the objectives set as part of the mission (desktop environment, Infrastructure, notion of server, cluster, virtualization) are necessary to carry out the mission,

You have a solid knowledge of budget and cost management.

You have a good knowledge of key contractual points and are comfortable understanding the legal terminology of license agreements.

You have successful experience in implementing a SAM tool (knowledge of ServiceNow's SAM module is a plus).

You have knowledge of the main publishers in the market as well as a general knowledge of the software market and their licensing mode.

Soft skills:

Excellent interpersonal skills allowing you to work with stakeholders, technical or business, to understand their challenges and to propose and implement innovative solutions to meet them.

You are fluent in English and can evolve in an international context.
