We are a growing company with a friendly team environment, looking for a highly skilled and motivated software developer to help further design, develop and support our MMX online platform. 

You should have a good awareness of business needs and ability to work to tight timescales and budget. Our product is for learning Mandarin and our team has many Cantonese speakers so fluency in either or both languages would be advantageous. It is expected you can show strong teamworking capabilities to work well with not just other tech team members but also colleagues from other functions such as Sales, Marketing, Design, Operations, etc.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Writing clearly readable, efficient, easily maintainable code to current best coding practices, creating responsive front end/UI using latest HTML/CSS standards whilst being cognizant of and implementing backward compatibility requirements. Integrating back-end SQL databases using SQL stored procedures and code queries as appropriate.
• Gathering and refining requirements using good teamwork and communication, deploying and maintaining the MMX platform to required service levels, investigating and resolving problems identified through customer feedback and testing. Developing and implementing APIs to external systems MMX needs to work with, ensuring implementation is fully aligned with design and customer requirements.
• Managing, and improving as necessary, backup processes, building and maintaining documentation as required, keeping up to date with emerging technologies and best practices and implementing them in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in ASP.NET, Visual Basic, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Microsoft SQL Server and SQL development, significant experience (minimum 5 years) in developing successful commercial Web application software.
• Strong experience in front end/UI implementation for best presentation and functionality across all widely used screen sizes, browsers and operating systems (Windows, Android, macOS, iOS).
• Extensive experience in developing in Visual Studio, version control using VSTS (now Azure DevOps) & Azure Cloud deployment and management.
• Strong understanding of ASP.NET core including security, performance, session management, etc.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, strongly self-motivated, ability to work independently and think logically, develop ideas and express clearly and convincingly.
