Bentley is seeking a talented C++ Developer to join a distributed team of Developers that are fanatical about writing quality, modern C++ code and building powerful solutions for our users. CUBE is an open modeling software used by planners and engineers to analyze the effects of new projects and policies on a city’s transportation network, land-use, and its population. It is used to develop and apply predictive multi-modal transportation models, as part of a city’s overall digital twin, to simulate how changes in infrastructure, operations, technology, and demographics will impact movement and accessibility of a given area. CUBE covers all aspects of transportation to help you better understand the impact before implementation.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable Modern C++ code for desktop and cloud products
• Work closely with other engineers to develop new products and features
• Participate in code reviews
• Suggest and implement improvements on current products
• Develop automated test plans and unit tests
• Research new, related technologies and contribute to evolving future generations of our products

 

Required

• 2-5 years of experience developing software with C++
• Experience developing with Modern C++ 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Proficient with basic algorithms and data structures
• Proficient with object-oriented programming

 

Desired

• Experience with Qt or similar UI development tools is ideal
• Proficiency with performance optimization preferred
• Experience with GIS is highly advantageous
