Job Description
SUMMARY
This engineer will join the Research and Development team of APL. The APL, which stands for Apache Power Library, is one of the critical pieces in Ansys’s technology suite. It is the first tool that uses SPICE accurate waveform to model switching power. It is also the first to give accurate effective capacitance (ESC) model of a cell for dynamic power analysis, voltagedependent PWLCAP model and switch model for low power analysis, as well as advanced ondie LDO model employed by state of the art design. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Study, and optimize the code to improve tools run time and memory capacity.
- Develop new functions, and make the test case and document.
- Run, check and maintenance our APL groupQA.
- Diagnose and fix code problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, with three years experience
- Three years experience in C or C++ with broad and deep understanding of the language
- Working knowledge of the Linux operating system
- Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and debugging
- Solid understanding of electronic design at gate level and/or transistor level
- Ability to learn quickly, understand complex systems and to work closely with others
- Ability to complete high-quality work on time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer PhD or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
Demonstrated skills in the following areas are a plus:
- Successful large-scale commercial software development
- Development, debugging and optimization of systems using distributed processing
- Experience with the Python programming language
- Gate level or RTL power analysis and/or optimization
