Job Overview

If so, then the Digital Vehicle Solutions department, at Daimler Trucks North America may have the perfect opportunity for you. As a Connectivity Customer Solutions Specialist within DTNA's connected vehicle services group, Detroit Connect, you'll have the chance to work directly with customers to provide integrated connectivity technology solutions that help them run their business more efficiently. You will be responsible for driving the adoption of Detroit Connect technology and services through building relationships with customers and determining the best integration strategy, technical or operational, of existing services. Using passion for superior customer experience and strong technical background, you will be an integral element of creating the technical solutions that propel Detroit Connect to be the heavy-duty truck industry's preferred connectivity solution provider. Work directly with customers to integrate existing connected vehicle solutions and technology into their operations. Develop application and data service integration strategies for DTNA customers to quickly and easily adopt Detroit Connect offerings and inject these strategies into the Agile development process of new services.
 
Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and derive connected vehicle service integration strategies that facilitate the easy adoption and acceptance of Detroit Connect services


- Direct integration activities with staff members and internal resources interfacing with directly with customers


- Provide solutions for enterprise system integration of data centric solutions utilizing APIs, rest interfaces, and streaming data technology


- Serve as technical expert for existing Detroit Connect services, the underlying technologies and optimal use cases


- Provide input to Agile product development teams in creating new customer facing services, processes and experiences


- Provide 3rd level customer support for Detroit connect products

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Technology or related technical field from an accredited university/college required

- Excellent presentation and communication skills required


- Experience with code languages such as C, .Net, Java or similar required.


- Experience working with end customer management and working level staff required


- Background in customer support in software services required


- Background in telematics, heavy truck industry, or fleet management application or IT areas preferred.


- Experience with connected vehicle, telematics, mobile communications or fleet management technology preferred.


- Background in software development and working level knowledge in cloud, Hadoop and IOT areas preferred.
