Intel is looking for a highly motivated, talented and experienced backend engineer to join our Product Data and Analytics (PDA) team.

We are developing a state-of-the-art high-scale cloud-based solution, leveraging a microservices architecture to go along with managed cloud services, all towards creating a modern SaaS Data Lakehouse, with self service capabilities, ingestion\consumption services, and other features that help data engineers and data scientists across Intel's design teams make better data-driven decisions.

Our team deploys fast and often, having code deployed in production shortly after it was written, focusing on safety, robustness and proper architecture of our backend that will eventually handle hundreds of thousands of daily events at a fast pace.

Backend developers at PDA shape and improve our microservices architecture daily to provide a cutting-edge analytics solution.
To achieve this, we use state-of-the-art technologies such as .NET Core, Kafka, Spark, Syanpse, CosmosDB, GraphQL and Gremlin, SQL and NoSQL databases,  in addition to hosted solutions that Azure has to offer and more…

To succeed in this position, you will:

• Own and develop features end-to-end, from design to production
• Solve diverse problems at large scale and implement complex data logic
• Analyze and improve performance, scalability and stability of our solutions and environments
• Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies in a pursuit to perfect our products and enrich other team members
• Take part in development reviews to maintain standards and release processes across the team
• Provide L3 support for production.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience with backend development (C#, JAVA or Python. Bonus for .NET Core).
• Experience with large scale production environments and microservices architecture.
• 2+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure (Azure\AWS\GCP), Docker, Kubernetes & CI/CD tools.
• Production experience with both relational and NoSQL databases at scale.
• The mentality of a team player, sense of ownership and urgency.
• Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with different DB types - SQL, noSQL, Cosmos, Graph-DBs, Elasticsearch, etc.
• Experience with serverless computing - AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions, etc.
• Experience with message streaming \ queues - RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka, Azure Event Hub, etc.

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
